What made you leave a job of 16 years and permit yourself to try something new and different?
A: I have always had a deep love for fashion and appreciation for how fashion can transform a person, both inside and outside. Fashion can transform a person’s confidence, exuberate character and define a moment in time. Without hesitation, I left my job of 16 years to create that element that defines the moment in time for those that wear a Nancy Vuu piece.
Q: In an earlier interview with Cotswold Allure, you shared about your family’s difficult journey to the States. Can you share a little more on that?
A: Everyone has a story and my story was a humbling one. I come from a refuge family fleeing Vietnam in 1979 to seek freedom. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion and the freedom to explore opportunities. I truly am grateful for my adopted country, for giving me the opportunity to dream and become who I am today.
Q: In a previous interview, it was stated that your first idea ‘was to create tiaras and crowns, as one is bought, one could be donated to a charity.” Can you elaborate more on how the charity aspect of your brand works?
A: The foundation of our company is giving back to our community and we take every opportunity we can to support local charity and non-profit organizations. We want our consumers to carry that torch and join us in giving back to our community, making a difference in protecting humanity
